Clash Of Armour
Clash of Armour throws players into the world of tactical combat, with sentries, tanks, and a lot of enemy troops. Set in one on one intense skirmishes, players will be facing their opponents head on, while deploying armored units with the aim to defeat the enemy’s base turret, while ensuring the opposing troops do not reach towards your base turret.
Game Overview
In Clash of Armour Unblocked, players face their opponents in an arena with mirrored lanes, leading to each side’s base turrets. Your goal is to send out different troops that will move toward the other side, clearing obstacles and challenging the opponent’s defenses along the way. How and when you can send troops depends on a special energy meter that fills up to a maximum of 17 points.
There will be a variety of troops available, certain which would be cheaper, faster, and cost less points, but cause very little damage, while others would be heavy, high-damage dealing tanks that would consume half your cost meter. This forces players to constantly strategize after quickly analyzing the demands of the battlefield.
Core Gameplay Mechanics
Resource Meter
A cost meter automatically fills up to 17 points that can be utilized to deploy troops. Once a troop has been deployed a certain amount of points would be consumed from this meter. Depending upon the player's next move, they would either have to wait for the regeneration of points, or quickly utilize the points left to deploy smaller troops.
Units/Unit Deployment
Players will be required to click and tap a tank icon when you have enough points to send it into battle. The deployed tanks will advance into battle towards the enemy base turret along a fixed path.
Matchmaking and Opponents
Live PvP will be set up between real players, via online matchmaking. However, in case there is low availability players will be set up with AI opponents which is a good option for anyone looking to practice.
Victory Condition
Victory is earned when a player manages to take down the opponent’s base turret while keeping their own safe. Each match usually lasts about 2–4 minutes, which might sound short, but during that time the winner can change quickly from one side to the other!
Troop Types
There are many different troops players can choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. It’s important to learn what each troop can do, so you can send out the right one at the right time to outsmart your opponent. Below is a list of all the available troops, arranged by how much impact they can make in a match.
- Panzer
- Rhino
- Absorber
- Fury
- Artillery
- Disabler
- Boss
Controls & Interface
Players are provided with a standard HUD, consisting of their base’s health and any or all approaching enemy troops and their relative position in comparison to your base and troops. The current resource meter is also displayed to the players at the bottom of the screen. Lastly, the controls are extremely simple as they only consist of tap and release to deploy troops.
Strategies to Win
Save for Boss
Near the end of a match, instead of sending out lots of random troops, it’s often smarter to wait until you can deploy the boss tank. Using it at the right time can give you a big advantage or help you stop your opponent’s boss tank.
Planned Deployment
Deployment of troops is a very strategic process since players will come to realize this as soon as the game picks up pace. This means that the deployment of a well timed tank might turn the tables in your favor, or perhaps a misplaced rhino might cost you the win.
Adapt Quickly
Building on the point above, keep an eye on the troops you can send out and the ones your opponent is using. Think quickly and choose troops that can match or slow down the ones moving toward your base.
Layer Defenses
To maximize your defense, make sure not to rely on only one type of troop. Be it a smaller troop, or a bigger heavy duty one. Waiting for too short, or too long to spend for deployment will create a very weak defense, making it easier for enemy troops to reach your base turret. It is important to create an impenetrable layered defense utilizing a variety of combined troops.
